TFD: What are you most excited to learn during your internship? Why?
M: My dream is to be a makeup artist and part of that is branding myself and managing my social media. This internship will help me with that, and photography for my portfolio.

TFD: What keeps you grateful in life?
M: Knowing that I have so much support in my life. Growing up with a single mom was difficult, but knowing she was there to support me and encourage me through my career choice was more than I ever could’ve asked for.⠀

TFD: What does interning at TFD mean to you?

J: TFD came into my life for a reason. They provide an opportunity for me to use the talents God has given me, a creative outlet when everything is chaos. It's become like family to me.
TFD: What’s your favorite thing to do with your free time?

J: I could spend hours editing a video; I find it enjoyable and it helps me get creative. Or sometimes I just like to sit in peace with music.⠀⠀

TFD: What are you passionate about?
R: I’m passionate about the stories my creative partner and I create.

R: I hope to gain knowledge on how to further my passion into a reality, not just a dream.

M: My favorite workshop was Financial literacy.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

M: I am most excited to start this new journey with The Firehouse Dream along with a new chapter in my life- graduation and on to college!

TFD: How will you apply what you are learning at TFD in your life?
A: I am going to use the skills I am currently learning to start my calligraphy small business! I have learned all about the importance of brand positioning and will apply those skills when I start my business soon. Before this internship, I didn’t have any experience with using a professional camera and now, thanks to the Firehouse Dream, I know how to take professional photos for my business! I’m so excited for what’s to come and can’t thank the Firehouse Dream enough for all that they do!
