WE ARE Now offering individual mental health
services for young adults ages 15-22
who live in or go to school in proviso district
How it works:
We provide 12 individual sessions in partnership with a licensed private practice therapist in the state of IL.
Young adults will be able to choose their therapist from bios linked below or through Open Path Collective.*
Your partner therapist will determine if it will be weekly or bi-weekly sessions totaling 3 months or 6 months of counseling.
Some partner therapists will also have the option for in-person or virtual sessions.
Additionally, please fill out our intake form to better assist your mental health needs and your chosen therapist.
Services will be terminated if you have more than two no-shows. As long as you are in communication with your therapist, you will not be terminated.
*Note: the intake form will not be shared publicly.
The firehouse dream is an advocate for normalizing mental health.
We are not a PROFESSIONAL mental health practice. We connect our young adults with licensed professionals, and provide access by covering the cost of services with licensed therapists. Each youth is given agency in decided if they want to be connected with a therapist, and they get to choose who they work with. What is discussed between the young adult and therapist is confidential, and TFD has no part in those discussions.
If you are experiencing suicidal thoughts please call
the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline (1-800-273-8255) or 911.

I was born and raised in Durango, Mexico. I immigrated to this country when I was 18 years old, facing many challenges that often led me to feel lost, unmotivated, and hopeless that my situation could change. Now as a therapist, my goal is to work with individuals who might be experiencing these feelings, perhaps because they’re struggling with their current life circumstances, relationships, or navigating with the aftereffects of traumatic experiences. My commitment to my clients is to offer a supportive and understanding space where they can feel safe and comfortable to share those thoughts and feelings that might be weighing them down so they can experience life and relationships in a more meaningful and fulfilling way.

Erika Luna, MA, LCPC
My name is Erika Luna, born and raised in the Southwest Side of Chicago. My passion for understanding people’s emotions and behavior came from an early age as I struggled to make sense of the world around me growing up. Now as a therapist, I work with individuals as they navigate life transitions, self-exploration, heal from trauma, and repair relationships. Throughout my career I have learned the impact of trauma comes in many forms, understanding how trauma and chronic stress affect the person's self-concept as well as their mind and body. I identify my therapeutic style as compassionate and collaborative, integrating trauma and cultural healing processes.

Relationships are an essential part of life. Family members, friends, co-workers, or children can add both beauty and stress to your life. You are not the same person who entered into those relationships and neither are they. Together we can navigate what it looks like to be true to yourself, continue to grow, and be in healthy relationships with others.
Sometimes we need to begin by uncovering our wholehearted selves. This may mean working through grief, anxiety, depression, or trauma. It may be life circumstances, spiritual concerns, or unhelpful patterns that are holding you back. Whatever may come up, you won’t have to journey through it alone. I will incorporate Attachment Theory, Internal Family Systems, CBT and Mindfulness approach in our time together. Your wholehearted self and wholehearted relationships are within reach.
