WE ARE Now offering individual mental health

services for all Proviso residents ages 15-22

How it works:

We provide 12 individual sessions in partnership with a licensed private practice therapist in the state of IL.

Young adults will be able to choose their therapist from bios linked below or through Open Path Collective.*

Your partner therapist will determine if it will be weekly or bi-weekly sessions totaling 3 months or 6 months of counseling.

Some partner therapists will also have the option for in-person or virtual sessions.

Additionally, please fill out our intake form to better assist your mental health needs and your chosen therapist.

Services will be terminated if you have more than two no-shows. As long as you are in communication with your therapist, you will not be terminated.

*Note: the intake form will not be shared publicly.

The firehouse dream is an advocate for normalizing mental health.

We are not a PROFESSIONAL mental health practice. We connect young adults with licensed professionals or coaches and provide access by covering the cost of services. Each youth has agency in deciding who they want to be connected with. What is discussed between the young adult and therapist is confidential, and TFD has no part in those discussions.

If you are experiencing suicidal thoughts please call or text 988

Erika Luna, MA, LCPC

My name is Erika Luna, born and raised in the Southwest Side of Chicago. My passion for understanding people’s emotions and behavior came from an early age as I struggled to make sense of the world around me growing up. Now as a therapist, I work with individuals as they navigate life transitions, self-exploration, heal from trauma, and repair relationships. Throughout my career I have learned the impact of trauma comes in many forms, understanding how trauma and chronic stress affect the person's self-concept as well as their mind and body.  I identify my therapeutic style as compassionate and collaborative, integrating trauma and cultural healing processes.

Erika Aguirre, MA, LPC, ICDVP

I was born and raised in Durango, Mexico. I immigrated to this country when I was 18 years old, facing many challenges that often led me to feel lost, unmotivated, and hopeless that my situation could change. Now as a therapist, my goal is to work with individuals who might be experiencing these feelings, perhaps because they’re struggling with their current life circumstances, relationships, or navigating with the aftereffects of traumatic experiences. My commitment to my clients is to offer a supportive and understanding space where they can feel safe and comfortable to share those thoughts and feelings that might be weighing them down so they can experience life and relationships in a more meaningful and fulfilling way.

Christopher L. Chambliss, B.S., A.A, mental health coach

Christopher Lance Chambliss is an innovative thinker with broad-based expertise in business development and non-profit management. Early in his career, he began working with the underserved, particularly young men of color. This led Chris to his current work of trauma-informed care and counseling, where he was an advocate and ambassador for a nonprofit on Chicago’s south side. He has raised community awareness about the effects of violence and trauma to hundreds of individuals, including public school administrators, parents, social workers, legislators, business owners, and law enforcement staff. Chris is the founder and CEO of The Nehemiah Community Project (NCP) in Maywood, Illinois. Coming from a strong religious upbringing, Chris had for years felt a calling to serve the needs of community residents who are in distress and experiencing trauma. Witnessing their struggle to resume civilian life with so little support or guidance, Chris was moved to action. Departing the corporate sector in 2017, he founded The Nehemiah Community Project. Since its inception, Chris and his team have directly implemented or facilitated trauma-informed work with underserved individuals from different walks of life, who have been impacted by trauma.
